Welcome to the Indigo Shoot Website

The Indigo skeet tournament is over seven decades old and is one of the most unique invitational club events held in the country. Currently, five private skeet clubs compete: The Country Club, The Youngstown Country Club, Mentor Harbor Yachting Club, Hunting Valley Gun Club and the Kirtland Country Club. The Indigo is held over the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March, which usually ensures inclement weather of all types, including rain, wind, snow and frigid temperatures.

Shooters tally 50 targets at each of the five venues to complete the event. The top five shooters from each club comprise their club’s total team score. Prizes are awarded to the winning team as well as the individual top gun and runner-up. The spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and camaraderie has continued to ensure the perpetuity of this unique and revered event.
